Muse of the Sea

Muse of the Sea

Silversea are one of the pioneers of ultra luxury cruising, so it was with great excitement that Kim from Forth & Wonder accepted an invitation to step aboard their latest addition to the fleet, the Silver Muse.

The Silver Muse is a work of art, custom built and ideally sized for cruising the high seas. Taking a maximum of 596 guests, Silver Muse bridges the gap between small ship and ocean liner. Small enough to retain an intimate, boutique feel yet large enough to provide plenty of choice in restaurants and entertainment.

Silver Muse holds true to the traditions of Silversea in that every room is a suite and most have a private veranda. Even those choosing the lead in Vista Suites are afforded enormous room space, with 31m2 to call your own. Amenities are top of the range with Bvlgari products placed within your marble bathroom and Etro bathrobes for your use. And no matter your suite type, every person is presented with a dedicated butler. Your butler gets to know your preferences, for example, there’s nothing better than your butler bringing you an unexpected cup of tea or glass of Champagne after a day of adventure ashore!

The atmosphere aboard the ship itself is of refined class and style. Beautiful artwork adorns the walls and no expense has been spared in the décor of the public areas and restaurants.

Muse of the Sea

The restaurants and cuisine of Silver Muse are world class. From fine French cuisine, delicate Asian options to relaxed Italian meals, the creativity of Silversea Muses’ chefs know no bounds. Choose from open seating (no bookings required) in The Restaurant to fine dining at its most decadent in the French La Dame or Japanese Kaiseki.

The cuisine is wonderful. The only downside is that, during the evening, the French and Japanese restaurants come at an additional cost. The additional cost is quite low and includes sommelier selected beverages – you won’t be disappointed if you choose to dine in one of these premium restaurants, nor will your tastebuds be neglected if you stick to the other seven included restaurants. But here’s a tip, if you want to try the Japanese restaurant without incurring additional cost go at lunchtime, when there is no additional charge (all you need to do is book through your butler).

All drinks aboard the ship are included throughout your voyage, which is always a plus as it avoids unexpected expenditure and ensures there’s no awkward “my shout” moments aboard.

Muse of the Sea

With voyages around Asia – including several in Japan – plus Alaska and Australia, the Muse offers you a premier cruise experience equal to the best of them.

Silversea are so confident, as they should be, in the design of Silver Muse that future ship builds will be based upon the Muse. In the words of Silversea, future builds and existing ships undergoing refits will be “Musified”.
